These rare and colorful shapes are blossoms of an Ecuadorian flower scientifically named Gentianella hirculus.

Gentianella hirculus (Gentianaceae) is a terrestrial herb endemic to southern Ecuador, where it is known from 12 Andean populations in a small area of western Azuay province, specifically the Parque Nacional Cajas (Cajas National Park).

Due to its restricted distribution and habitat loss, Gentianella hirculus is classified as Endangered species on the IUCN Red List.
